What is the legal drinking age where you live? Do you think it should be higher, lower, or remain the same, and why?
I honestly have mixed feelings about it. Even though personally I don't drink, I know kids who do, and they're no older then 18. The legal age is 21 in my state, but I learned that over in European countries (i.e. Italy) we'd be legal to drink.
I think the problem is that it's seen as a forbidden fruit, so instantly, everyone wants it. But if it were part of the norm, then it wouldn't be such a big deal. But there's the chance that it just makes more younger people susceptible to alcoholism.
So...to be safe? Leave it be. There's really no completely right or wrong choice, but I'd pick the lesser of the three evils.
